Outlook 2007 Calendar The Outlook 2007 Calendar is a very useful tool to help set and maintain your schedule, create and discuss meeting plans, as well as give you up to date reminders of what is planned on a given day. Below is a guide to the basics of using the calendar and appointment functions, to help make your day a little easier. Personal Schedule
Once you have clicked on the Appointment tab, the screen below will appear. First thing you will want to do is enter in the Subject and Location. Put a short few word name of your meeting or appointment in the subject line, as this is what you will see on your main calendar screen. Follow by entering in your location as well as the time and date. You can also change the reminder time as you please. The amount of time indicated there will be the amount of minutes prior to your scheduled event that the reminder will display. When you are finish, click on “Save & Close” located on the top left of your screen, and the appointment will immediately and automatically show up on your calendar.
Planning a Meeting
With this tool, you are able to enter in the names of the people you would like the set a meeting with, and their schedules will automatically appear on your screen. (Your name and schedule will be already present there by default) This way, you can find a time where all of the individuals are available, and make sure the meeting or appointment will go off without a hitch. When you have found a suitable time, click the “Make Meeting” button at the bottom, and requests will be sent out to those individuals you have selected.
